Generator radiator drain water

If the ambient temperature is too low, the cooling water should be discharged when the water temperature drops 15 minutes after the shutdown, rather than immediately. Otherwise, the temperature difference between the generator and the environment is too large, resulting in partial deformation of the generator, which will affect the performance of the diesel engine, such as cylinder head deformation.
When the cooling water stops flowing out, it is better to shake the diesel generator set several times. At this time, the remaining cooling water that is difficult to flow out will flow out due to the vibration of the diesel engine to prevent the water block on the cylinder head from freezing. After falling, cooling water will flow into the oil pan. At the same time, it should be noted that if the drain switch is not removed, the drain switch should be opened after the drain is completed to prevent the remaining cooling water from flowing out due to various reasons, and freeze the corresponding parts of the diesel engine, causing unnecessary losses.
We remind you not to turn on the drain switch only when draining. You should also pay attention to the specific situation of the water flow to see whether the water flow is smooth and whether there is any phenomenon of water flow becoming smaller or slower. If these conditions occur, it means that the cooling water contains impurities that hinder the normal flow of water. At this time, it is better to remove the drain switch and let the cooling water flow out of the generator directly. If the water flow is still not smooth, use iron wire and other hard slender steel objects to dredge until the water flow is smooth.
